Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Integration Technician to integrate secondary structures, avionics, and propulsion components into the Starship vehicle. You'll work with precision tools and collaborate with engineers to ensure timely and safe production. This role requires 1+ years of experience in hardware installation.

Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1+ years of experience with propulsion, mechanical, automotive, electrical, or avionics hardware installation. You may also have completed a trades program, which has equipped you with the necessary skills for this role. Your hands-on experience with both large and small fragile assemblies makes you a valuable asset to the team. You are comfortable using precision calibrated tools and have a strong understanding of engineering drawings and work instructions.

You possess both avionics and mechanical integration skills, which are essential for the integration of various components into the vehicle's primary structure. Your ability to perform fluids and pneumatic testing is a key part of ensuring the functionality and safety of the systems you work with. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with production engineers to develop and document integration processes.

Desirable

Having an FAA Airframe and PowerPlant license is a plus, as it demonstrates your commitment to the aviation and aerospace industry. Experience in heavy rigging for large assemblies and operating personnel platforms such as boom lifts and scissor lifts will further enhance your qualifications for this role.

What you'll do

As an Integration Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the integration of all secondary structures, avionics, and stage propulsion components and systems to the vehicle’s primary structure. Your day-to-day tasks will include staging, setting up, assembling, testing, and installing flight hardware. You will utilize precision calibrated tools to ensure that all components are integrated correctly and safely.

You will perform hands-on operations with both large and small fragile assemblies, ensuring that all production services are performed on time and in a professional manner. Your role will also involve reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions to execute tasks accurately. You will collaborate with production engineers to develop and document integration processes, ensuring that all work is performed according to established procedures and specifications.

In addition to integration tasks, you will be involved in fluids and pneumatic testing, which is crucial for verifying the functionality of the systems you work on. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be essential as you operate various mechanical tools and equipment without prior instruction.
