You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and possess strong experience in mechanical design and manufacturing processes. You are proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, enabling you to create detailed designs and specifications. Your background includes working on large-scale engineering projects, where you have collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and production efficiency. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques, which allows you to make informed decisions throughout the product lifecycle. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others to solve complex engineering challenges.

What you'll do

As a Mechanical Engineer on the Super Heavy Booster team, you will be responsible for developing and refining the design of critical components that contribute to the success of SpaceX's missions. You will work closely with vehicle analysts and design teams to ensure that your solutions meet both design and manufacturing process requirements. Your role will involve developing production procedures and managing the transition of primary structures and assemblies from the development phase to high-rate production. You will coordinate and execute development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems, machinery, and tooling needed for production. Throughout the process, you will drive and implement meaningful changes to parts, processes, planning, and tooling to improve the overall production system. Your contributions will significantly influence the vehicle's design, equipment, and factory infrastructure, making your role crucial to the success of SpaceX's ambitious goals.
