Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and possess strong technical, design, and analysis skills. You thrive in challenging environments and have experience in hardware design from conceptualization through production. Your ability to collaborate closely with electrical teams ensures that you can deliver high-reliability hardware that meets customer needs. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for innovation, particularly in the aerospace sector.
Desirable
Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles and a strong understanding of system-level optimization are highly desirable. Familiarity with government contracts or national security projects would be a plus, as would any experience in the aerospace industry.
What you'll do
As a Mechanical Engineer on the User Products team, you will own the design and integration of custom products for the Starshield program. This involves developing design criteria, collaborating on requirements, and driving system-level optimization to meet various customer needs. You will rapidly iterate on designs and analysis to inform high-level systems trades and steer overall product direction. Your role will also include generating documentation and ensuring that all designs adhere to stringent quality and reliability standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the hardware you design is not only functional but also elegant and efficient.
