Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in designing and analyzing propulsion systems for spacecraft. Your expertise allows you to contribute to the development of reliable and manufacturable satellite thrusters, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and efficiency.
You are skilled in working with complex systems and have a solid understanding of the operational requirements for electric propulsion. Your analytical skills enable you to interpret data effectively, ensuring that hardware operates as expected during testing phases.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, analyze, and test electric thrusters, contributing to the most highly produced spacecraft propulsion systems in history. You will collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that your designs facilitate efficient and reliable production processes.
You will also be responsible for building and modifying the electric propulsion test facility, which includes vacuum chambers and performance measurement systems. Your role will involve troubleshooting and optimizing these systems to ensure they meet operational requirements.
Additionally, you will analyze test data using numerical data analysis tools, ensuring that the thrusters perform as intended. Your contributions will play a crucial role in supporting national security efforts through the development of SpaceX's Starshield technology.
