SpaceX is hiring an Electrical Engineer for the Starship Avionics team to develop high-reliability avionics components. You'll work with advanced electronics and design systems for space travel. This position requires experience in circuit design and embedded systems.

Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in developing avionics components for aerospace applications. You are skilled in designing both analog and digital circuits, and you understand the challenges of operating in extreme environments. Your proficiency in tools like Altium Designer and MATLAB allows you to create reliable designs that meet rigorous specifications. You are comfortable with prototyping and debugging complex systems, and you thrive in collaborative environments where innovative solutions are essential.

You possess a solid understanding of embedded systems and programming languages such as Python, which you use to support hardware development and testing. Your analytical skills enable you to capture requirements effectively and translate them into functional designs. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring that all components meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

What you'll do

As an Electrical Engineer on the Starship Avionics team, you will rapidly develop high-reliability avionics components for the Starship and Super Heavy systems. This includes conducting system trades, capturing requirements, selecting components, and performing analysis. You will be responsible for schematic capture, prototyping, and debugging, ensuring that all designs are thoroughly documented and tested. Your role will also involve designing acceptance and qualification testing campaigns to validate your designs under extreme conditions.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers to tackle complex challenges and push the boundaries of what is possible in space travel. Your contributions will directly impact the success of SpaceX's mission to make humanity multi-planetary.
