Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in developing high-reliability electronics for aerospace applications. You are skilled in using tools like Altium Designer and AutoCAD for schematic capture and PCB design. Your familiarity with embedded Linux and LabVIEW allows you to effectively prototype and test complex systems. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to work with experts from various disciplines to drive innovation in avionics systems.
Desirable
Experience with avionics systems or aerospace projects is a plus. Familiarity with testing and qualification processes for aerospace electronics will help you excel in this role. You are proactive in challenging assumptions and building strong professional relationships within your team.
What you'll do
As an Electrical Engineer on the Starship Avionics team, you will rapidly develop high-reliability electronics for rockets and spacecraft. You will drive system trades, capture requirements, select components, and conduct analysis to ensure the highest quality in your designs. Your responsibilities will include schematic capture, prototyping, and debugging, as well as creating development and qualification testing campaigns to exercise designs to their limits. You will support hardware through production, integration, and flight, ensuring that all systems meet rigorous standards for reliability and performance.
You will collaborate closely with experts from other teams and departments to implement changes that enhance system efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability. Your role will involve challenging assumptions and fostering a culture of innovation within the team. You will be part of a fast-moving and world-class hardware development team, contributing to SpaceX's mission of making humanity multi-planetary.
