What you'll do

As an Equipment Safety Engineer at SpaceX, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of automated machinery across multiple production projects. You will interpret and apply relevant safety standards to evaluate equipment designs, including OSHA 29 CFR 1910.212, ANSI B11.19, ANSI/RIA R15.06, ISO 13849-1, and ISO 14120. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing machine guarding solutions for automated equipment, ensuring that safety measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access to hazardous areas.

You will perform interlock validation testing and certification for safety-related control systems, ensuring compliance with functional safety requirements. Your proactive approach will help mitigate hazards and improve safety protocols across the organization. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure that safety considerations are integrated into the design and operation of equipment.
