Your background includes working with various complex CNC systems, including 5-axis milling and mill-turn applications, which allows you to handle diverse machine configurations effectively.

You possess strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with control and electrical systems involving PLCs and HMIs. Your familiarity with servomotors, servo amplifiers, and field sensors enables you to quickly identify and resolve issues that may arise during operations.

Your expertise extends to hydraulic and pneumatic systems, where you have successfully repaired actuators, valves, pumps, and filters. You understand the intricacies of machine tool mechanical systems, including ball screws and linear rails, which are critical for maintaining precision in machining processes.

You thrive in demanding environments and are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop quick resolutions to unique equipment issues. Your critical thinking skills allow you to approach problems methodically, ensuring minimal downtime for production.

What you'll do

As a Field Service Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of CNC machinery, ensuring that all equipment is in proper operating condition. You will conduct preventative maintenance on various complex CNC systems, including 5-axis milling and mill-turn applications, to prevent unexpected breakdowns.

You will troubleshoot and repair control and electrical system failures, working with PLCs, HMIs, and other critical components. Your role will also involve diagnosing and fixing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring that all actuators, valves, and pumps function correctly.

In addition to electrical and hydraulic systems, you will address mechanical issues within the CNC machines, including repairs to ball screws and linear rails. Your ability to work under pressure and think critically will be essential as you navigate the challenges of maintaining high-performance machinery.

You will collaborate closely with production and development teams, providing support and expertise to ensure that machining and fabrication processes run smoothly. Your contributions will be vital in helping SpaceX achieve its ambitious goals in aerospace technology.
