Who you are
You have a strong background in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems, with experience in designing and implementing simulation software for complex systems. Your expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python allows you to develop robust models and tools for performance analysis. You thrive in collaborative environments, working effectively across engineering groups to drive critical design decisions and trade-offs.
You possess a deep understanding of system-of-systems performance analysis, and you are skilled at balancing competing requirements to recommend optimal designs. Your analytical mindset enables you to develop 6-DOF dynamics simulation models and physics-based models for RF communications and sensor systems. You are detail-oriented and enjoy solving complex problems, making you a valuable asset in high-impact projects.
What you'll do
As a GNC Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for building software tools and constructing scenarios to perform system-of-systems performance analysis. You will conduct analyses and recommend designs that balance competing requirements, ensuring the success of large multi-vehicle missions. Your role will involve developing 6-DOF dynamics simulation models used for GNC systems analysis and validation, as well as creating a library of space and ground systems models.
You will assess the feasibility of various designs in support of architecture definition, collaborating closely with other engineering teams to ensure alignment on program-level requirements.
