Who you are
You have a strong background in production control and scheduling, with experience in managing complex workflows across multiple departments. Your ability to understand critical work requests and mitigate schedule impact risks is key to your success in this role. You are proficient in utilizing ERP applications and other tools to ensure that work is scheduled and prioritized efficiently. Your attention to detail allows you to confirm that resources are allocated appropriately, ensuring a smooth production process.
You are skilled in preparing daily work schedules and tracking work progress, updating and communicating project critical path schedules to leadership. Your proactive approach helps you identify and support improvement opportunities for product yield, quality, safety, cost, and team efficiency. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at pushing and pulling work into the shop to improve lead times and reduce stagnation.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work across all departments to ensure that MRP dates align with current vehicle products. You will prepare daily work schedules and track work progress, advising leadership of any necessary adjustments to daily work activities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that fixture, tooling, and test equipment requirements are properly scheduled to facilitate an efficient production process. You will lead efforts to uncover root causes and develop permanent resolutions for issues found during product builds.
You will collaborate with production, operations planning, and engineering teams to eliminate internal and external blockers, ensuring that products are delivered on time. Your role will also involve supporting the accuracy of internal logistics movement of critical work, which is essential for maintaining production efficiency. You will be instrumental in developing and supporting efforts to streamline processes, ultimately contributing to the success of SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.
