SpaceX is seeking an EDI Specialist to collaborate with teams and suppliers for EDI integration and data exchange. You'll monitor transactions and troubleshoot issues while utilizing SQL and Python. This role requires 2+ years of experience in information technology or supply chain.

Who you are

You have at least 2 years of experience in information technology or supply chain, demonstrating a solid understanding of EDI processes and operations. Your background includes a minimum of 1 year working with SQL, allowing you to effectively manage and analyze data. Experience with Python is also a plus, as it enhances your ability to automate and streamline EDI tasks. You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Your collaborative nature allows you to work well with both internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring smooth EDI integration.

Desirable

A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, information systems, computer science, engineering, or economics is preferred, as it provides a strong foundation for understanding complex business processes. Familiarity with EDI communications standards and protocols, such as (S)FTP, will further enhance your effectiveness in this role. You have experience managing EDI transactions related to inventory, purchase orders, invoicing, and advanced ship notices, which will be crucial for driving improvements in EDI operations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to gather requirements and design solutions for EDI integration and data exchange. You will monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, identifying and resolving issues while performing root cause analysis to prevent future problems. Your responsibilities will include coordinating, configuring, and testing EDI implementations for new suppliers, ensuring that all processes run smoothly. You will drive tasks to completion, working closely with third-party software vendors and customers to enhance EDI operations. Additionally, you will evaluate and document business processes from end to end, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
