Job Description
Who you are
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 4 years of welding experience, including AC/DC TIG and MIG techniques. Your background includes 2+ years of experience in manual machine operations such as milling or lathe work, or using fabrication tools like drill presses and plasma cutters. You are capable of reading blueprints and completing basic shop math, and you can interpret fluid or electrical schematics. You thrive in independent work environments and possess strong problem-solving skills.
What you'll do
As a Design Development Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for fabricating piece parts to print using various machine shop and fabrication equipment. You will build complex mechanical assemblies to high standards, which may involve high and low-voltage wiring or pneumatics. Additionally, you will perform equipment operations using forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, or tractor trailers for critical moves and lifts within the facility. Your role will require close collaboration with the engineering team to support high-impact projects aimed at enhancing the Starlink Production line from development to high-volume production systems.
