SpaceX is hiring a Propulsion Technician for their Starship program to assemble and test rocket hardware. You'll work with mechanical systems and troubleshooting in Starbase, TX. This position requires a solid mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience.

Who you are

You possess a solid mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience, along with a willingness and ability to learn. You are flexible and can work on different systems, troubleshooting anomalies as they arise. You understand the importance of safety and quality in all tasks you undertake. You are capable of working autonomously while adhering to defined schedules. You maintain a professional and neat work area, ensuring that tools, valves, tubes, and manifolds for advanced subassemblies are well-kept.

You have experience in staging, building, testing, installing, and proofing production advanced subassemblies for propulsion systems. You are adept at verifying fluids and electrical connections using diagrams, ensuring that all components meet the necessary specifications. You are comfortable performing testing and operating all necessary equipment for pressurized checkouts, utilizing computer network systems as needed. You are detail-oriented, accepting or rejecting test units based on defined acceptance criteria and documenting your findings accurately.

What you'll do

As a Propulsion Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of rocket hardware, specifically for the Starship and Super-Heavy systems. You will stage and build advanced subassemblies, ensuring that all components are tested and installed correctly. You will verify fluids and electrical connections, using diagrams to guide your work. Your role will involve performing tests and operating testing equipment necessary for pressurized checkouts, following established procedures and specifications.

You will document your work meticulously, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve any non-conformances that arise during testing. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring that everything is in optimal condition for production. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers, contributing to a culture of safety and quality in all aspects of your work.
