What you'll do

As a Security Software Engineer on the Starshield team, you will influence the security of software across SpaceX’s product lines. Your role will involve designing secure systems that support national security efforts, leveraging SpaceX’s Starlink technology. You will work on building highly reliable in-space mesh networks and next-gen communication and sensing software. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that the systems you develop are robust against potential security threats.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers and teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include conducting security assessments, implementing security controls, and responding to security incidents. You will also engage in vulnerability research to identify weaknesses in systems and propose effective solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the security posture of SpaceX’s innovative technologies aimed at enabling human life on Mars.
