You have a strong background in environmental health and safety, with experience in conducting hazard assessments and incident investigations. You are skilled in collaborating with leadership to implement health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations such as Cal-OSHA and Federal OSHA. Your ability to monitor employee exposure to hazards and develop recommendations for remedial actions is essential in this role. You are proactive in addressing safety concerns and have a keen understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe work environment.

What you'll do

As an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer at SpaceX, you will play a critical role in supporting Launch Operations at the Vandenberg facility. You will develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines, collaborating with department leadership to complete job hazard assessments. Your responsibilities will include participating in both pre and post-launch site hazardous operations, monitoring employee exposure to physical and chemical hazards, and inspecting facilities and machinery to ensure safety standards are met. You will strategize with site leaders to prevent and reduce injuries, making a significant impact on the safety culture at SpaceX.
