Who you are
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering with experience in critical lift and transport operations — your expertise allows you to address complex structural and mechanical issues effectively. You are familiar with safety standards and regulations such as OSHA and ASME B30, ensuring compliance in all operations. Your multi-disciplinary knowledge enables you to develop innovative solutions for launch pad operations and ground support equipment.
You possess excellent analytical skills and can lead the planning and execution of heavy-haul transports for hardware exceeding 100 tons — your attention to detail ensures that all operations are carried out safely and efficiently. You thrive in high-pressure environments and are committed to maximizing efficiency without compromising safety or reliability.
What you'll do
As a Senior Critical Lift & Transport Engineer at SpaceX, you will lead the planning, analysis, and execution of complex critical lifts and heavy-haul transports for our Starship and Super Heavy booster vehicles. You will develop advanced lift plans and rigging designs, ensuring zero-incident compliance with safety standards and mission-critical timelines. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to address engineering challenges and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of critical transport and lift operations are properly designed, reviewed, and executed. This includes addressing any structural, civil, and mechanical issues that arise during operations. Your engineering intuition and thorough calculations will guide the team in making informed decisions for the path forward.
