Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Level III NDE Specialist, Eddy Current to oversee training, equipment reliability, and process improvements within the NDE Operations team. This role requires expertise in inspection and collaboration with engineering teams.

Job Description

Who you are

You are an experienced NDE Operations Specialist with a strong background in Eddy Current methods. You have a proven track record of performing inspections on flight and GSE hardware, interpreting engineering drawings, and communicating findings effectively to production and engineering teams. Your commitment to safety and reliability in operations is paramount, and you continuously seek ways to improve processes and techniques.

You thrive in collaborative environments, acting as the first point of contact for technique-based questions from inspectors and engineering. Your ability to lead training programs and improve inspection reliability showcases your expertise and dedication to the field. You are motivated and at the top of your field, ready to contribute to SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for performing inspections on critical hardware, ensuring that all findings are accurately reported and communicated to relevant teams. You will own the training program for Eddy Current methods, ensuring that all inspectors are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for their roles. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with engineering teams to implement process improvements and enhance the reliability of inspection techniques.

You will engage in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on safety and operational efficiency. Your role will require you to interpret and evaluate engineering drawings, providing insights that contribute to the overall success of the NDE Operations team. As a Level III Specialist, you will be expected to lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the team.
