Overview
SpaceX is hiring a Senior Scheduler for the Starship program to lead production planning and optimize resource allocation. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to achieve aggressive rate targets. This role requires strong leadership and scheduling expertise.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in production scheduling, ideally within aerospace or manufacturing environments. Your ability to develop strategic rate-based schedules and forecast long-term departmental capacity sets you apart. You excel in resolving complex part shortages and managing constraints across multiple builds, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently.
You possess strong leadership skills, having mentored junior schedulers and driven program-level goals through effective collaboration. Your analytical mindset allows you to optimize resource allocation and balance personnel, equipment, and facility constraints against overarching rate objectives. You are adept at cultivating relationships with internal and external suppliers, ensuring robust communication and alignment.
What you'll do
As the Senior Scheduler for SpaceX's Starship program, you will lead production scheduling for multiple work centers, developing and maintaining rate-based master schedules for hardware lines. You will own scenario modeling for optimal hardware allocation, incorporating customer manifests, quality requirements, and program priorities. Presenting recommendations to senior leadership will be a key part of your role, ensuring stakeholder alignment and informed decision-making.
You will partner closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to define, track, and execute daily and weekly goals at both the work-center and program levels. Your ability to balance competing priorities and manage constraints will be crucial in achieving aggressive rate targets across 12+ missions. You will also be responsible for advanced forecasting of part shortages and long-term rate projections, ensuring that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently.
What we offer
At SpaceX, you will be part of a mission-driven team focused on enabling human life on Mars. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technologies that push the boundaries of aerospace engineering.
