You are skilled in negotiating and placing purchase orders, ensuring that all components meet technical specifications and cost targets. Your analytical mindset enables you to forecast demand accurately and evaluate supplier capacity, ensuring that supply chains remain uninterrupted. You are adept at tracking supplier performance metrics, focusing on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage sourcing activities across a range of supported commodities, including precision machined components, outside processes, forgings, and castings. You will quote out, negotiate, and place purchase orders for precision-machined valve components, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and delivery schedules. You will forecast demand and proactively manage purchase orders to ensure an uninterrupted supply of valve components in support of development and production schedules.

You will track and drive supplier performance metrics, focusing on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with engineering teams to interpret technical specifications and ensure that all sourced components meet the necessary requirements. You will play a crucial role in the success of the Starship program by ensuring that all procurement activities align with SpaceX's mission to revolutionize space travel.
