You have a strong background in supply chain management and sourcing, with experience in developing cost strategies and sourcing plans. What you'll do
As the Sourcing Manager for the Starship program, you will be responsible for developing the supply base and sourcing strategy to support the scaling of Starship production. You will manage an agile supply chain capable of meeting production rate goals while quickly incorporating design changes for engine reliability. Your role will involve strategic procurement of critical Raptor hardware, including forgings and complex machined parts.
You will work closely with engineering teams to understand their needs and ensure that the supply chain can adapt to changes in design and production requirements. Your responsibilities will include cost negotiations with suppliers, developing vendor relationships, and implementing quality management practices to ensure that all components meet SpaceX's high standards.
You will also be tasked with optimizing logistics and packaging processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be crucial in aligning supply chain strategies with the overall goals of the Starship program.
