Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in high-performance computing (HPC) and experience in architecting and maintaining HPC clusters in cloud environments like AWS or GCP. Your expertise in Linux and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes allows you to efficiently manage and optimize computing resources. You are skilled in developing infrastructure automation for cluster provisioning and configuration management, ensuring scalability and performance.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to onboard users and support application deployments. Your ability to manage resource scheduling and user access ensures high throughput and cost efficiency in mission-critical tasks. You are proactive in developing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain performance and reliability in multi-tenant HPC environments.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining scalable HPC clusters across public cloud environments and potentially on-premises systems. You will collaborate with software, flight, and data engineering teams to deploy HPC workloads efficiently, ensuring optimal performance for simulations and data analytics. Your responsibilities will include managing resource scheduling, user access, and workload optimization to maximize throughput and minimize costs.

You will also develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system performance and reliability. Implementing best practices for data management, security, and compliance will be crucial in your role, as you support users in onboarding and troubleshooting computational jobs. You will evaluate emerging cloud and HPC technologies, recommending improvements to enhance cluster performance and efficiency.
