Spotify is hiring a Data Engineer for their Financial Engineering team to build and maintain systems for accurate financial reporting and royalties. You'll work closely with backend and data engineers to support strategic products. This role requires expertise in data infrastructure and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in building and maintaining data systems that support financial reporting and royalty calculations. You understand the importance of accurate and timely data, and you are skilled in creating robust data pipelines that ensure data integrity and availability. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with finance teams and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
You are familiar with the technologies and tools used in data engineering, and you have a keen interest in developing scalable systems that can handle large volumes of data. You are detail-oriented and have a problem-solving mindset, allowing you to tackle complex data challenges effectively. You enjoy working in a cross-functional team and are comfortable communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll do
As a Data Engineer at Spotify, you will be part of the Platform team, focusing on building the infrastructure and tools necessary for financial engineering. You will collaborate with backend engineers to design and implement data pipelines that ensure accurate royalty calculations and financial reporting for Audiobook and Lyrics licensors. Your work will directly impact some of Spotify's most important creator-focused products, enabling the company to scale and serve a growing user base.
You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing existing data systems, ensuring they are reliable and efficient. This includes monitoring data quality, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements as needed. You will also work closely with finance teams to understand their data needs and develop solutions that support their reporting and analysis requirements.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new features and capabilities within the financial engineering domain.
