Who you are
You have a strong background in network engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in ensuring the reliability and performance of complex network systems. You are skilled in managing data centers and WANs, and you understand the intricacies of network security and monitoring. Your expertise with Cisco equipment and protocols allows you to optimize network performance effectively. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including core networking and trading systems developers, to deliver optimal solutions. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent documentation skills, which help in maintaining clear records of network configurations and changes.
Desirable
Experience with cloud service providers and familiarity with various network protocols will be advantageous. Knowledge of project management methodologies can also enhance your ability to deliver projects efficiently.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all network hardware and software components. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of the Squarepoint global trading network, which includes regional data centers and offices. Your primary focus will be on project delivery related to upgrades and expansions in data center and campus environments. You will collaborate with internal and external vendors to implement and support changes in the network environment. You will also manage the configuration and optimization of network services, ensuring seamless integration with internet-based services. Your role will involve delivering multicast inter and intra-region services between colocation facilities and data centers, ensuring high availability and performance. You will document all network configurations and changes, maintaining a comprehensive record of the network environment.
