You'll collaborate with stakeholders and other teams to design enterprise network solutions. This role requires a degree in Network Engineering and CCNP certification or higher.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Information Technology discipline, and hold a CCNP certification or higher, with a preference for CCIE. With a minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering and project delivery, you have a strong track record of designing and implementing scalable network solutions. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent problem-solving skills, allowing you to translate business requirements into technical network architectures effectively. Your experience includes working in multi-vendor enterprise environments, ensuring high availability and performance in LAN, WAN, Datacenter, Campus, and Cloud infrastructures.
Desirable
You have a passion for adopting automation and innovative solutions to improve network performance and resilience. Your collaborative nature allows you to work closely with software engineers and other infrastructure teams, providing guidance and support to ensure proper implementation and ongoing support. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are comfortable providing L3 escalation support to remediate performance and availability issues.
What you'll do
In this role, you will architect, develop, optimize, and secure scalable networks for various infrastructures. You will design and implement highly available and deterministic network solutions, ensuring they align with Squarepoint's business objectives. Your responsibilities will include selecting software and hardware components based on technical and business requirements, as well as evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance network performance and cost efficiency. You will also be responsible for providing detailed documentation, including diagrams, to support project delivery and management, collaborating with both internal and external vendors.
You will work closely with the Network reliability team to ensure that all solutions are implemented correctly and supported effectively. Your role will require you to manage projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality. You will be expected to stay updated on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve the network infrastructure and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
