Platform Engineer • Entry-Level

Who you are

You hold a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to continuously learn new technologies and develop alongside your peers. You have a working knowledge of Python, Git, and Bash, and are familiar with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.

You have experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and orchestration technologies such as Slurm or Kubernetes. Your background includes working with databases and observability systems, including Elasticsearch, Datadog, and Prometheus. You are also comfortable maintaining and administering Linux, storage, and network infrastructure.

What you'll do

As a Platform Specialist at Squarepoint, you will play a crucial technical role in delivering platform infrastructure using the DevOps methodology. You will develop, deploy, and maintain managed platform services, developer platforms, and automation APIs. Your responsibilities will include designing, monitoring, and maintaining platform infrastructure while automating everyday tasks with scripting and configuration management tools.

You will work closely with researchers and developers as internal consultants to understand their needs and provide tailored infrastructure and platform solutions. Your role will require you to ensure the availability and performance of the infrastructure and platform ecosystem, designing scalable and highly available network solutions in multi-vendor enterprise environments.
