Who you are

You have a strong background in managing Ultra Low Latency platforms, with experience in project delivery and support escalations. Your expertise in Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL-based systems, allows you to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues effectively. You are skilled in automation and have a keen understanding of security practices, ensuring that systems are not only efficient but also secure.

You excel in documentation and capacity management, enabling you to maintain clear records and manage resources effectively. Your collaborative nature allows you to work seamlessly with business partners, application owners, and internal teams, ensuring that solutions are delivered in a timely manner. You are proactive in reducing operational toil through the development of user-driven automated workflows, which enhances overall efficiency.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for managing Squarepoint's global colocation estate, which consists of over 400 servers across 30 sites. You will oversee project delivery and support escalations, ensuring that all systems are monitored and maintained to the highest standards. Your role will involve creating self-healing systems and automated recovery processes to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.

You will conduct root cause analysis of incidents and outages, collaborating with various teams to implement solutions that prevent future occurrences. Your focus on standardization and automation will help streamline processes, allowing for efficient management of a distributed compute environment and petabyte-scale storage systems. You will also participate in on-call rotations, responding to system incidents and ensuring that all systems operate smoothly.
