Who you are

You are a recent graduate or have up to 3 years of experience in a quantitative or related field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Financial Engineering. You possess a strong analytical mindset and are eager to learn about risk management in the finance sector. Your educational background has equipped you with the skills to evaluate and manage various types of risks associated with discretionary trading strategies. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with researchers and traders to analyze strategies and ensure they align with risk allocations defined by the Investment Committee.

What you'll do

As a Junior Risk Manager, you will identify and evaluate risks associated with discretionary trading strategies. You will collaborate with Quantitative Researchers and Traders to analyze these strategies and ensure they operate within the risk allocation parameters set by the Investment Committee. Your role will involve analyzing risk at the portfolio level and understanding performance drivers to help with trade portfolio construction across the discretionary business. You will also contribute to the development of Squarepoint's risk framework by improving processes and infrastructure for managing the discretionary business.
