Who you are

You have a minimum of 6 years of full-time software development experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in building scalable, production-grade distributed systems. Your proficiency in C++ is a prerequisite for your desire to work with Rust, and while prior Rust experience is beneficial, you are eager to showcase your skills through the interview process. You are comfortable working in a Linux environment and have hands-on experience implementing Docker and Kubernetes microservices in a production setting.

Your experience includes supporting and monitoring large production systems, ensuring their reliability and performance. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to interact directly with stakeholders and collaborate closely with investment and technology teams. You are familiar with version control software and have experience designing CI/CD pipelines, which enhances your ability to contribute effectively to the software lifecycle.

Desirable

While not required, familiarity with highly available distributed systems and working with large datasets will set you apart. Your ability to troubleshoot live production systems effectively is a key asset, as is your desire to engage actively in all stages of the software lifecycle, from gathering requirements to production support.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain Squarepoint's internal frameworks, services, and platforms that power the business. You will collaborate closely with investment stakeholders and other technology teams to align on project goals, taking full ownership of the systems developed by you and your team. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the reliability and performance of these systems, providing support, and troubleshooting live production systems effectively.

You will engage actively in all stages of the software lifecycle, from gathering requirements to production support, ensuring that the systems you develop meet the needs of the business. Your work will involve utilizing cutting-edge technologies, and you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the efficiency and productivity of both investment and technology teams within Squarepoint.
