What you'll do

As a founding Machine Learning Engineer on the Domains Search team, you will own key components of the search platform, focusing on retrieval or ranking. You will design, build, and deploy hybrid search systems that integrate classical machine learning with generative AI to create innovative domain name search experiences. Your role will involve leading the technical direction in areas such as index design, query parsing, and retrieval strategies, ensuring that the systems you build are efficient and effective.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to define the vision and roadmap for the search platform. Your contributions will directly impact how millions of customers discover their online identities, making your work both challenging and rewarding. You will also be responsible for embedding model selection, post-training optimization, and evaluation, ensuring that the models you develop meet high standards of performance and reliability.
