Job Description

Who you are

You are a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and application observability. You have experience working with AWS and are familiar with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Your expertise in monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus allows you to ensure system uptime and reliability. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in SRE. You have a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and are eager to lead the evolution of SRE practices within the organization.

You possess a deep understanding of infrastructure as code and are proficient in using tools like Terraform to manage and provision cloud resources. Your experience with Linux systems enables you to troubleshoot and optimize performance effectively. You are passionate about improving system reliability and scalability, and you enjoy mentoring others in SRE methodologies. You are comfortable with progressive delivery strategies, including canary releases and blue/green deployments, and are excited to implement these practices in a SaaS environment.

What you'll do

In this pivotal role, you will lead the transition from legacy single-tenant monoliths to modern, scalable, multi-tenant microservices. You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Architecture, Engineering, and Support teams to design and build the next generation of SRE practices and tools. Your responsibilities will include enhancing application-level observability and implementing autoscaling strategies to improve system performance. You will evangelize SRE practices across the organization, ensuring that uptime, resiliency, and customer trust are prioritized.

You will work on developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes and reduce time to market for new features. Your role will involve monitoring system performance and reliability, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance overall system health. You will also be responsible for incident management, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and effectively while minimizing impact on customers.
