Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field, with a strong background in maintaining and scaling cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in AWS and GCP allows you to design robust systems that support high availability and performance. You are proficient in Linux systems and have a solid understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes, enabling you to streamline deployment processes effectively.

You are skilled in using CI/CD tools like Jenkins to automate operational tasks, allowing development teams to focus on building innovative products. Your experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and ELK helps you maintain system health and respond to alerts proactively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with developers to troubleshoot applications and improve deployment workflows.

Desirable

Experience with blockchain technology is a plus, as it aligns with the mission of the Stellar Development Foundation to create equitable access to the global financial system. Familiarity with infrastructure as code practices and tools will enhance your ability to contribute to the team's goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and securing the AWS and GCP infrastructure that powers the Stellar blockchain network. You will assist development teams in packaging, deploying, and troubleshooting applications, ensuring that they run smoothly in production environments. Your work will involve building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, as well as migrating applications to this platform to enhance scalability and reliability.

You will monitor system performance, triage alerts, and respond to incidents in high availability environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal user experience. Participating in design and code reviews will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you help ensure that the foundation for services is best in class. You will also evaluate new technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal services, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
