You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in designing and implementing distributed systems. Your background includes working with blockchain technology, and you understand the complexities of maintaining a global consensus in a decentralized network. You are skilled in peer-to-peer networking and have experience optimizing processing performance for high-scale applications.

You possess a strong understanding of formal models and verification processes, which are crucial for ensuring the reliability and security of distributed systems. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and network participants.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and build key components of Stellar Core, focusing on enhancing the performance and resilience of the Stellar network. You will collaborate with your team to develop robust and scalable technologies that empower developers and network participants. Your responsibilities will include implementing features that improve network performance and decentralization, as well as designing incentive mechanics for network participants.

You will engage in simulation and verification processes to confirm emergent properties of the network, tackling scalability challenges associated with distributed and multi-core systems. Your work will directly contribute to the growth and scaling of the Stellar ecosystem, ensuring equitable access to the global financial system.
