You are a visionary leader with extensive experience in direct marketing and subscription strategies — you have a proven track record of scaling profitable subscriber bases while maintaining a best-in-class LTV/CAC ratio. Your analytical mindset allows you to view direct marketing through a mathematical lens, ensuring data-driven decision-making in all your initiatives.
With a strong understanding of marketing automation tools, you are adept at engineering the entire subscriber lifecycle — you leverage AI tools to drive aggressive and sustainable growth, ensuring that every marketing channel is optimized for maximum impact. You possess excellent leadership skills, having managed multi-million dollar budgets and P&L responsibilities in previous roles.
Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering, allows you to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives — you thrive in high-impact environments where your decisions directly influence company growth. You are not just a manager; you are a strategist who inspires your team to innovate and excel.
Desirable

What you'll do
As the Director of Direct Marketing & Subscription Strategy, you will be responsible for architecting the subscription growth engine for System1 — your role will involve full P&L ownership of a multi-million dollar budget, where you will scale a profitable subscriber base. You will engineer the entire subscriber lifecycle, leveraging AI tools and marketing automation to drive aggressive, sustainable growth.
You will collaborate closely with the President & COO, reporting directly to them on the performance of marketing initiatives — your insights will guide strategic decisions and help shape the future of the company's marketing efforts. You will analyze key performance metrics to ensure that marketing strategies are effective and aligned with business goals.
In this role, you will lead a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability — you will mentor your team members, helping them to develop their skills and achieve their career goals. You will also be responsible for identifying new marketing channels and opportunities for growth, ensuring that System1 remains competitive in the marketplace.
