Site Reliability Engineer

Who you are

You have experience with cloud services such as AWS and GCP, and you're familiar with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform. Your programming skills enable you to enhance application performance and reliability through feature additions and bug fixes. You possess a foundational knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP and HTTP, which aids in your understanding of system architecture. You have experience in building and operating monitoring environments for incident detection and capacity planning, ensuring systems run smoothly. Your background includes working with relational databases like PostgreSQL, allowing you to manage data effectively. As a tech lead or individual contributor, you have a track record of guiding teams through technical challenges while fostering collaboration.

What you'll do

In this role, you will automate deployment processes and server setup, developing tools that streamline these tasks. You will monitor applications, middleware, and cloud services, focusing on performance tuning to ensure optimal operation. Your responsibilities will include detecting failures and planning for capacity to maintain system reliability. You will work with a variety of middleware and cloud services, including Cloud Pub/Sub and MongoDB, while utilizing tools like Datadog for monitoring. You will also engage in data analysis using cloud logging to derive insights that inform system improvements. Your programming tasks will involve languages such as TypeScript and Go, as well as frameworks like Next.js and Playwright. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the Tailor Platform meets the needs of enterprise clients effectively.
