You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, particularly in cloud environments. Your expertise in AWS and GCP allows you to implement robust security measures that protect sensitive data and infrastructure. You possess a strong understanding of security configuration hardening, vulnerability management, and threat detection.

You are well-versed in DevSecOps practices, integrating security into the development lifecycle. Your ability to automate security processes ensures that security is not an afterthought but a fundamental aspect of the development process. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to foster a culture of security awareness.

You have a proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve security posture and mitigate risks. Your analytical skills enable you to assess security threats and respond effectively to incidents. You are passionate about staying updated with the latest security trends and technologies, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.

Desirable

Experience with security tools such as Burp Suite, Snyk, or similar is a plus. Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations will help you navigate the complexities of security in a financial context. What you'll do

In this role, you will implement and maintain security solutions across Tala's cloud environments, ensuring that all systems are secure and compliant. You will work closely with development teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline, promoting a DevSecOps culture. Your responsibilities will include conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.

You will develop and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring that all team members are aware of their security responsibilities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will provide guidance on secure coding practices and help design secure architectures for new projects. You will also monitor security alerts and incidents, responding swiftly to mitigate any potential threats.

Your role will involve continuous improvement of security processes, leveraging automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You will stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities, adapting security strategies accordingly. Additionally, you will participate in security audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
