Telesat is hiring a Program Manager to support the capture and contract-negotiation phase of the ESCP program. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and the Government of Canada to ensure all obligations and timelines are met. This role requires strong ownership and coordination skills.

You have a proven track record in program management, ideally within the telecommunications or satellite communications sectors. Your experience includes managing complex projects and ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and within scope. You are results-oriented and dependable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable driving follow-up across teams to ensure progress. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including government clients and subcontractors.
You possess a keen interest in satellite technology and its applications in global communications. Your background may include experience in business development or sales, providing you with a unique perspective on customer needs and expectations. You are motivated by seeing complex efforts move forward and take pride in your ability to coordinate multiple inputs and requirements seamlessly.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day program management and coordination within the Sales & Business Development team. You will track requirements and manage inputs to ensure that all obligations, deliverables, and timelines are clearly defined and met. Your interactions will primarily target internal Telesat stakeholders, the Government of Canada, and subcontractors, requiring you to navigate various interests and priorities effectively.
You will play a crucial role in the capture and solutions definition phase of the ESCP program, working closely with cross-functional teams to align on objectives and strategies. Your ability to drive follow-up and maintain momentum will be essential as you work to advance the program's goals. You will also be involved in contract negotiations, ensuring that Telesat's interests are represented and that agreements are beneficial for all parties involved.
