Systems Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have expert level knowledge and expertise in large scale space-based 'Systems of Systems', preferably in the communications and networking domains. Your experience includes development and deployment within a Systems Engineering environment, and you are familiar with the use of Systems Engineering products to facilitate the orderly progression from requirements through design and implementation. You understand the importance of technical performance budgeting and allocations, and you are skilled in performing system level interface trade-offs to maximize performance.

You possess strong analytical skills and are adept at maintaining and refining air interface documentation. Your background includes working with cross-functional teams to ensure that system level technical performance budgets are developed across multiple domains. You are comfortable navigating complex technical challenges and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of the Systems Engineering group at Telesat, focusing on the maintenance and refinement of air interface documentation. You will develop system level technical performance budgets and work on interface trade-offs between hardware and software domains. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to ensure that all engineering requirements are met and that the systems operate efficiently and effectively. You will also be involved in the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies to enhance overall performance.
