What you'll do

As an Operations Manager at Tempus, you will play a crucial role in supporting the launch of new genomic assays and improving existing processes within the clinical testing business. You will collaborate with leaders across various disciplines, including Clinical Lab, Product, Operations, and Marketing, to implement new product features and execute assay launches. Your expertise will be vital in scoping and building requirements alongside engineering and product teams, ensuring that enhancements align with both short-term gains and long-term scalability.

You will act as a subject matter expert on the operational implementation of new assays, guiding the team through the complexities of integrating these enhancements into existing workflows. Your responsibilities will include identifying and addressing project issues and risks, providing timely follow-through on resolutions, and communicating project statuses and quality metrics to team leadership.

In this role, you will also propose and build new workflows to solve operational challenges, ensuring that the team is equipped to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry. You will own stakeholder communication, manage expectations, and oversee the end-to-end project plan for various initiatives with minimal supervision. Your ability to navigate complex projects and maintain clear communication will be essential to your success in this position.
