Who you are
You have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on testing, bringing at least 5 years of experience in the field. Your expertise in testing methodologies allows you to verify functionality, operability, and performance of software solutions effectively. You are proficient in Java and have hands-on experience with testing frameworks like Selenium, which you use to design and implement automated tests that ensure high-quality software delivery.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with developers and product managers to understand the product requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies. Your analytical mindset helps you identify potential issues early in the development process, and you are skilled at leading exploratory testing sessions to uncover hidden defects. You are also comfortable maintaining test infrastructure and delivering actionable insights through detailed reporting.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Tenable's cybersecurity solutions by combining automated and manual testing strategies. You will design tools and frameworks that verify the performance and resiliency of the software, leading deep-dive exploratory testing to uncover potential issues. You will own the maintenance of the test infrastructure, ensuring that it is robust and scalable to meet the needs of the development team.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and develop comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of the software. Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers in testing best practices and fostering a culture of quality within the team.
