Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in leading teams through the early stages of product development. With a strong background in full stack development, you are well-versed in building SaaS and Cloud Native software, especially in regulated industries like healthcare. Your technical expertise includes distributed microservice architecture, and you are proficient in languages and technologies such as Go, gRPC, and AWS services like EventBridge and Aurora. You thrive in an Agile collaborative environment, working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to create high-quality, consumer-oriented products.
You enjoy sharing your knowledge and mentoring team members, helping them grow their skills and confidence. Your leadership style fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation, where team members feel empowered to contribute their ideas and solutions. You are passionate about improving the lives of patients, clinicians, and caregivers through technology, and you are excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector.
Desirable
Experience with additional technologies such as Ent and Twirp would be a plus, as would familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies as the industry evolves. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential for success in this role.
What you'll do
As a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Tendo, you will lead a team of engineers in the design and development of innovative healthcare software solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction of projects, ensuring that best practices are followed in software development and architecture. Your role will involve hands-on coding, where you will contribute to the codebase while guiding your team through complex technical challenges.
You will collaborate with product managers and designers to define product requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your leadership will be crucial in establishing a robust development process that emphasizes quality, scalability, and user experience. You will also mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support as they navigate their own development paths.
In addition to technical responsibilities, you will play a key role in fostering a positive team culture, encouraging open communication and collaboration. You will help create an environment where team members feel valued and motivated to contribute their best work. Your insights and expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of Tendo's healthcare solutions, driving innovation and excellence in every project.
