The Exploration Company is hiring an AIT Technician – Propulsion Valves to support the assembly and testing of gas and propellant valves for their modular space vehicle. You'll work closely with design and AIT engineers, applying your mechanical engineering skills in Bordeaux.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a background in mechanical engineering and are eager to apply your skills in a hands-on role. You are detail-oriented and have experience with assembly and testing processes, particularly in a technical or engineering environment. You understand the importance of precision and quality in the aerospace industry and are committed to adhering to strict standards. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with design teams and engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.

You are familiar with the assembly and commissioning of test benches, including mechanical installation and fluidic connections. You have a strong understanding of testing procedures, such as helium leak testing and dynamic performance evaluations. Your ability to execute tests and ensure data recording and traceability is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards in production.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly and commissioning of test benches, which includes mechanical installation, fluidic and electrical connections, and wiring of sensors and actuators. You will work alongside AIT engineers to conduct functional checks and ensure that all systems are operational. Your role will also involve developing and executing tests, carrying out bench procedures, and ensuring that all data is accurately recorded and reported.

You will apply defined assembly and manufacturing routings while performing cleaning and passivation operations in a cleanroom environment. Your attention to detail will be essential as you execute dimensional measurements and visual inspections according to space standards. Additionally, you will provide production and quality support by precision assembling valves and executing functional acceptance tests for flight hardware.

You will identify and follow up on non-conformities, providing feedback to design and AIT teams to improve processes. Participation in qualification and environmental test campaigns, such as vibration and thermal tests, will also be part of your responsibilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge space technology.
