What you'll do

As a Combustion Devices Development Engineer, you will lead the mechanical, fluidic, and thermal design of the main injector head for cryogenic rocket engines — your responsibilities will include developing faceplate architecture, element design, and manifolding. You will own the design trades, ensuring that performance and stability margins are met while considering manufacturability and reusability requirements. Your role will involve producing and maintaining detailed CAD models and configuration-controlled design data suitable for both development and flight hardware.

You will apply your knowledge of heat transfer and fluid mechanics fundamentals to the injector design process, focusing on aspects such as pressure drop allocation, flow distribution, and cooling considerations. Your work will culminate in the maturation of designs from concept through to hot-fire testing, where you will validate the performance of your designs in real-world conditions. You will also support the integration of the injector head into the overall propulsion system, collaborating with other engineers to ensure seamless functionality.
