Who you are
You have a strong background in cryogenic systems engineering, with experience in designing and validating fluid transfer and storage systems for space applications. You understand the complexities of operating in microgravity and are familiar with the challenges associated with cryogenic fluid management. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with system engineers and specialists across various disciplines, ensuring that all aspects of the cryogenic subsystem are feasible and safe.
You are detail-oriented and analytical, capable of contributing to architecture trade-offs and requirement flow-down processes. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you a valuable team member in cross-functional discussions. You are passionate about space exploration and eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.
What you'll do
As a Cryogenic Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and early validation of cryogenic fluid and propulsion-related system architectures. You will contribute to the development of concepts and preliminary architectures for cryogenic fluid transfer and storage systems operating in orbit. Your responsibilities will include supporting the definition of cryogenic fluid management and refueling strategies, as well as collaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure the safety and performance of the cryogenic subsystem.
You will be involved in Phase 0/A and Phase B1 activities, which include architecture trade-offs, requirement flow-down, and early breadboard or test planning. Your work will directly impact the feasibility of refueling operations in orbit, making your contributions critical to the success of the Future Projects unit at The Exploration Company.
