What you'll do

In this role, you will conduct a variety of mechanical tests, including tensile, compression, hardness, bending, and fatigue testing on both metallic and polymer parts, primarily focusing on 3D printed components. You will prepare test samples through cutting, mounting, polishing, and etching for metallographic analysis and microscopy. Your responsibilities will also include performing dimensional inspections using a Mitutoyo CMM and conventional tools, assisting with part referencing and reporting. You will operate all lab equipment safely and efficiently while applying and improving test procedures in collaboration with the Lab Engineer. Additionally, you will record test conditions, results, and anomalies accurately in internal databases and reports, supporting preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives within the lab.
