Who you are

You are a hands-on technician with experience in composite manufacturing, particularly in thermal protection systems. You have a solid understanding of molding operations, including Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) and infusion techniques, and you are familiar with the use of autoclaves and ovens for curing processes. Your attention to detail ensures that you monitor manufacturing parameters effectively to maintain quality and repeatability of parts. You are also skilled in post-processing operations, such as trimming, sanding, and fitting, and you have experience operating CNC machines for machining operations.

You understand the importance of quality and compliance in manufacturing. You apply production quality standards diligently and ensure traceability of all operations performed. You are proactive in identifying and resolving non-conformities, contributing to the overall quality of the products delivered. Your ability to carry out first-level maintenance on production equipment, including CNC machines and tooling, ensures that industrial resources are always available and in good condition.

What you'll do

As a Composite Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for preparing materials and tooling according to technical instructions. You will perform molding operations, including RTM and infusion, and monitor the curing process in autoclaves or ovens. Your role will involve post-processing manufactured panels, where you will trim, sand, and fit components to meet specifications. You will operate CNC machines for necessary machining operations and contribute to inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.

You will apply production quality standards and ensure traceability of all operations performed. Your participation in identifying and resolving non-conformities will be crucial in maintaining the high quality of the thermal protection systems. Additionally, you will carry out first-level maintenance on production equipment, monitoring the condition of tools and reporting any malfunctions to ensure the availability of industrial resources. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and performance of the products we deliver, supporting the mission of The Exploration Company in developing innovative space solutions.
