Who you are

You have advanced proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash — your experience allows you to design and develop robust platform infrastructure that supports high-scale software delivery. You possess in-depth expertise in GCP, including serverless architectures, and understand the nuances of cloud-based solutions. Your background in automation, security, and scalability enables you to foster best practices across teams, ensuring that the platform meets high availability and performance standards.

With a strong foundation in DevOps principles, you are adept at architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines — you understand the importance of automation and fast feedback loops in the software development lifecycle. You have experience managing and optimizing containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, and you are familiar with orchestration tools that enhance operational efficiency. Your ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues and perform root cause analysis makes you a valuable asset in driving corrective actions.

As a senior engineer, you take ownership of critical platform components and contribute significantly to strategic decisions — you are comfortable mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to your team members. You are passionate about driving the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, which allows for scalable resource management and improved collaboration across the organization.

Desirable

Experience with GitOps practices is a plus, as you understand how to integrate development and operations to improve deployment frequency and reliability. Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and a proactive approach to learning new tools and methodologies will help you thrive in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable and secure platform infrastructure — your primary focus will be on enhancing the Developer Experience by creating and improving tools, systems, and processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices in automation, security, and scalability. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting complex platform issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions to ensure the platform meets high availability and performance standards.

You will manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, driving initiatives to improve DevOps and GitOps practices across the organization. Your role will also involve proposing and executing platform optimization strategies, balancing cost and performance to meet business objectives. You will mentor junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and understanding of platform engineering principles.
