You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that scale effectively. You’ve owned services from design through deployment and have navigated the complexities of debugging distributed systems. Your expertise in Python and Java allows you to write clear, maintainable code that meets high standards of quality.

You possess a deep understanding of Kubernetes and Docker, having utilized these technologies to manage containerized applications in cloud environments. Your experience with machine learning concepts and distributed systems enables you to contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI cloud services.

You are skilled in designing and developing APIs that are robust and scalable, ensuring they meet the needs of both internal and external users. Your familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices allows you to automate and streamline deployment processes effectively.

You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with product teams to understand functional requirements and deliver solutions that align with business goals. You are committed to writing well-tested software and conducting thorough design and code reviews to maintain high-quality standards across the team.

Desirable

Experience with GPU scheduling systems and managing cloud infrastructure is a plus. Familiarity with Slurm clusters and advanced cloud services will enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a key part in building the next generation of Together AI's cloud platform, which is designed to support a global network of data centers. You will work on developing a distributed GPU scheduling system for the on-demand clusters product, Instant Clusters, which is critical for optimizing resource allocation.

You will be responsible for designing and building new customer-facing cloud platform services that deliver innovative enterprise AI features. Your work will directly impact the functionality and performance of the AI Acceleration Cloud, enabling users to leverage advanced machine learning capabilities.

You will analyze and improve the robustness and scalability of existing distributed systems, APIs, databases, and infrastructure. This involves identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that enhance performance and reliability.

You will partner closely with product teams to translate functional requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that the solutions you develop meet user needs and business objectives. Your role will also include writing clear documentation and conducting design and code reviews to foster a culture of quality and collaboration.
