Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally within the education technology sector — you've successfully led cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products that enhance user engagement and learning outcomes. Your technical fluency allows you to communicate effectively with engineers and designers, ensuring that product visions are realized through collaborative efforts.
You are data-driven and comfortable with experimentation — you thrive on validating assumptions through A/B testing and user research, using insights to inform product decisions. Your passion for education and technology drives you to explore innovative solutions that can transform the learning experience for students and instructors alike.
You possess strong leadership skills and can inspire your team to move quickly and efficiently — you understand the importance of agility in product development and are adept at managing competing priorities while maintaining a focus on user needs. Your ability to foster a collaborative environment encourages creativity and innovation among your peers.
You are excited about the potential of emerging technologies, particularly AI — you have a keen interest in how these advancements can streamline course content management and enhance the overall educational experience. Your curiosity and willingness to learn enable you to stay ahead of industry trends and apply them effectively in your work.
Desirable
Experience with generative AI or similar technologies would be a plus — you understand how these tools can be leveraged to create new forms of interactivity and engagement in educational materials. Familiarity with user-centered design principles and accessibility standards is also beneficial, as you aim to create inclusive learning experiences for all students.
What you'll do
As a Senior Product Manager at Top Hat, you will take ownership of initiatives that strengthen the company's position as a leader in course material management. You will collaborate closely with engineers and designers to develop innovative tools that empower instructors to create accessible and interactive learning experiences. Your role will involve defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features based on user feedback, and ensuring that the development process aligns with the company's strategic goals.
You will lead the exploration of how AI can be integrated into course design and content management — this includes identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and enhance the efficiency of instructors. You will work on projects that aim to provide instructors with the tools they need to create hyper-relevant learning experiences that resonate with students.
Your responsibilities will also include conducting user research to gather insights on instructor and student needs — you will analyze data to inform product decisions and iterate on features based on user feedback. You will be responsible for defining success metrics and tracking the impact of product changes on user engagement and learning outcomes.
In addition, you will collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure that product messaging aligns with user needs and market trends — your insights will help shape go-to-market strategies and drive user acquisition efforts. You will also mentor junior product managers, sharing your expertise and fostering their professional growth within the organization.
What we offer
Top Hat provides a competitive salary and benefits package, including health benefits that start on day one. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on performance, growth, and engagement. The company values innovation and encourages employees to explore new technologies, including generative AI, to enhance their work and the impact on customers. You will also benefit from a flexible PTO policy that promotes self-care and work-life balance, allowing you to recharge and bring your best self to work every day.
