What you'll do

As a Staff Backend Engineer on the Conversational AI team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Trellis's AI-driven customer experiences. You will architect and build intelligent systems that facilitate natural, engaging conversations between users and our platform. Collaborating closely with product managers and designers, you will define the technical direction for complex projects and ensure that solutions are scalable and well-tested. Your leadership will guide the team through challenges, and you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, helping them grow in their roles.

You will also be involved in onboarding new teammates and refining the infrastructure that supports our LLM-driven initiatives. Your contributions will directly impact how we innovate within the conversational AI space, making the shopping experience for home and auto insurance easier and more efficient for our users. You will report directly to the engineering lead and work in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values your input and expertise.
