Who you are
You have a strong background in cloud security engineering, with hands-on experience monitoring and responding to security incidents in cloud environments. Your expertise in AWS allows you to navigate and secure cloud infrastructures effectively, ensuring the safety of customer data and platform integrity. You are proficient in at least one scripting language, such as Python or Bash, which you use to automate security operations and streamline processes. You possess a solid understanding of web application vulnerabilities, particularly the OWASP Top 10, and know how to implement defenses against them. Your analytical skills enable you to investigate security alerts and incidents thoroughly, leading to effective remediation strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to enhance the resilience of the platform.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be the first line of defense for the Viator platform, actively monitoring for threats and responding to security incidents. You will analyze security alerts originating from AWS infrastructure and application logs, leading the response from initial detection to post-mortem analysis. Your scripting skills will be crucial as you automate security operations and analysis tasks, improving efficiency and effectiveness. You will also engage in proactive security engineering, collaborating with engineering teams to build a more secure and resilient platform. Your contributions will directly impact the safety of our customers' data and the overall integrity of the Viator product.
